Choosing a length
Why 36 inch
The long ones burn longer. That is the entire argument, and it is usually enough.
Short answer
A 36 inch sparkler burns for longer than a shorter one, which gives the couple time to walk the full tunnel, stop, and turn back for a second pass. Choose shorter only where the venue caps length or the send-off is very short.
Time is the product
You are not buying length, you are buying the seconds between lighting and going out. Those seconds are what your photographer works in, and a tunnel of sixty people takes longer to light than couples expect.
When to go shorter
- Your venue caps sparkler length, which decides it for you
- The send-off is a short dash to a car, not a walked tunnel
- Very large guest count on a tight budget, where the count matters more than the burn
- Indoor or covered space where a long flame is the wrong idea entirely
What a 36 inch pack costs per person
Ninety-six to a pack, so a 120-guest wedding takes two. That is a small line on a wedding budget and one of the few that produces photographs people look at again.
