Pickup or delivery from Dallas
Dallas is one straight run down I-30 with no turns worth mentioning, which is why pickup works for most couples even from the far side of downtown. Take the delivery if your date lands the week before a holiday weekend. I-30 through Mesquite at five on a Friday will cost you an hour you do not have.
Free pickup off I-30 in Caddo Mills, any day from 8am to midnight. Free delivery in the Dallas area on orders of $100 or more. Fort Worth delivery is $25.
What Dallas venues tend to be like
Most Dallas send-offs happen in hotel forecourts, converted Design District warehouses, or on one of a handful of downtown rooftops. Check the rooftops first. A venue can be completely relaxed about sparklers at street level and still refuse them fourteen floors up, because the rule belongs to the building, not to them.
The city splits almost evenly between 28 and 36 inch. Guest counts run high here, so the pack maths usually lands on three or four rather than two.
Check the Dallas County burn ban before an outdoor send-off
Dallas sits in Dallas County. In Texas the county commissioners court issues burn bans under Local Government Code §352.081, not the city and not your venue. During a dry spell most of the state sits under one.
Whether a ban covers hand-held sparklers comes down to the wording of that county's order, and the orders differ. We will not tell you your send-off is fine when the answer varies by jurisdiction. Two minutes of checking settles it.
- Look up Dallas County on the Texas A&M Forest Service burn ban map.
- If there is an active ban, read the order or call the county. Ask about hand-held sparklers specifically, not "fireworks".
- Tell your venue what you found. A coordinator who has not checked will thank you.

Violating a county burn ban is a Class C misdemeanour. This is general information about how the orders work, not legal advice about your event.
Ask your venue two questions
Before you pick a length, ask your Dallas coordinator whether sparklers are permitted and whether there is a maximum. Those two answers decide the order. Venues vary widely: some allow 36 inch without comment, some cap at 20, some say no.
Tell us which venue you are using and we will tell you what we have seen there. If we do not know, we will say so instead of guessing.

Will my Dallas venue allow sparklers?
Ask your coordinator before you order, and ask two things. Whether sparklers are permitted at all, and whether there is a maximum length. A venue that caps at 20 inches has chosen your product for you. If the answer is no outdoors as well as in, better to find that out now than on the day.
How many will I need?
Roughly one per guest who lines up, plus about ten per cent for the ones that will not catch. The calculator does the arithmetic.
